Wind farm Hultema

Vindpark Hultema, with its 11 wind turbines, is Östergötland's largest wind farm. Hultema produces electricity for Vattenfall's regional grid, enough to support approx. 50,000 households in the region with household electricity. The park was built in the years 2021 – 2024 and is located in the northern parts of Motala municipality, about 5 km north of the community Tjällmo. The forest land is mainly owned by Sveaskog, who now combines forestry and wind farming in the land area.

Östgötaleden runs through the park and in good snow conditions the local club traces ski trails in the wind park. Each year Vindpark Hultema sets aside a “bygdepeng” to benefit local associations and businesses.

Energy consult Sverige AB is responsible for operating the park and Siemens Gamesa manages the service and maintenance of the wind turbines.
